What happens when an alien spacecraft crash
lands on your garage? What happens when the pilot decides to take up residence
with you and your family? And what happens if that alien is a 4.5-foot tall
furry creature with a nose like an aardvark, curiosity that knows no bounds, an
insatiable talent for getting into trouble and a penchant for considering your
pet cat a culinary delight? Well, if you're like the Tanners you grin and bear
it and accept "ALF" as one of the family.
America first met ALF back in 1986. The popular
television series had people everywhere uttering ALF's catch-phrase, "I kill
me!" Parents loved him, kids identified with him, women young and old wanted to
hug him. Spin-offs followed, such as an early morning ALF cartoon series, the
movie Project ALF, Halloween costumes, stuffed talking ALF dolls,
magnets, lunch boxes and apparel. In 1990 ALF departed American living rooms
for places unknown (though he was spotted as the Center Square on the very
popular game show, Hollywood Squares, along with other periodic guest
appearances where his wit and impeccable comedic timing were always a hit).
A new generation of fans is sure to fall in love
with the huggable alien with the release of ALF Season 3 on DVD. The
four disk set includes the entire season and the option to watch introductions
to each episode by ALF himself. See what ALF does when he thinks the new
neighbor is Elvis Presley! Watch how ALF and Willie Tanner (Max Wright) handle
a homeless man (David Ogden Stiers of M*A*S*H) who turns ALF into the Alien Task
Force. Follow along as Willie takes ALF to meet his cousin (an alien reported
in a tabloid). The ALF Season 3 DVD gives families the opportunity to
just sit back and enjoy all of the romps, antics and laughs together!
