Based on the true story of Dax Locke, The Heart of Christmas tells the
story of the Locke family, whose 13 month old boy Dax is diagnosed with an
aggressive form of leukemia. While Dax undergoes treatment at St. Jude’s
Children’s Research Hospital, his parents Julie and Austin must cope with their
constant fears and disappointment. Their journey is made easier, however, by the
many loving friends they make -- at St. Jude’s, other cancer patient children
and their parents, and at home, their neighbors. When she learns of the Locke’s
story, Megan Walsh’s life is transformed, and she becomes aware of how much her
ambition has blinded her to what is truly important in life.
The
Heart of Christmas
is
a powerful picture showing the power of friendship and prayer, the need for
hope, and the importance of focusing on the joys and blessings of each day.
Because of its inspirational message, the Parents Television Council is proud to
award The Heart of Christmas with the PTC Seal of ApprovalTM.
The PTC recommends this movie for viewers over age seven.
