The
Tales of Waterville
is a DVD series containing educational and uplifting messages without violence
or romantic undertones. Each story contains a life lesson based on letters of
the alphabet. The first DVD uses the letter “A for
attitude” to discuss the importance of a positive attitude, and “B for behavior”
to teach good manners.
There is no
problematic content in The Tales of Waterville. In the lesson on good
behavior, Liza doesn’t realize that her size and manner of playing is too rough
for her friends; but since the entire point of the story is to teach young
viewers good manners this is to be expected, and Liza learns her lesson
painlessly.
For its valuable lessons in
good behavior, positive characters and songs children will enjoy, the Parents
Television Council is proud to award The Tales of Waterville with the
PTC Seal of ApprovalTM. The PTC
recommends this DVD for children ages three and up.
