The old adage, "Jack of all trades, master of none," describes Tim Conway's
latest adorable misfit, Dorf, perfectly! While he has all the best
intentions, the poor guy just never seems to be able to make even the
simplest things work.
In the video DORF Goes Fishing, Conway's Dorf takes us through a history
lesson of fishing. Starting with his prehistoric ancestor and learning how
to bring in the day's catch through modern-times, when fishing is more about
sport than survival, the hapless Dorf shows us everything we need to know
about fishing. From how to bait a hook to what gear we'll need to be best
prepared for our day on the water, the humorous writing and comedic talents
of the inimitable Conway amuse and educate all at the same time. Cute little
vignettes include Dorf trying to sneak out early in the morning without his
wife knowing he's going fishing only to have her show up wanting to go on
the boat with him. A very funny scene features Dorf explaining all of the
things that a well-equipped angler needs to be the best he can be.
Both an Emmy© winner and nominee for his ensemble work on The Carol Burnett
Show and Coach, veteran comic Tim Conway is a master of creating eccentric
and odd-ball characters. Dorf is no exception. This character fits well into
the long line of original personas Mr. Conway has brought us over the years
and the video is a must have for any Tim Conway fan.
DORF Goes Fishing is suitable for all ages, although those younger
than 7 may not understand the sarcasm.
The Parents Television Council is happy to present this video and Mr. Conway
with the Seal of Approval™.
