PTC Responds to the Passing of Senator Ted Stevens

LOS ANGELES (August 10, 2010) � The Parents Television Council� expressed its condolences to the family of Alaska Senator Ted Stevens following his untimely passing in a plane crash Monday evening. PTC also thanked Senator Stevens for his attention to the issue of broadcast decency.

�On behalf of the Parents Television Council, our members and supporters, our sincere condolences go out to the family of Senator Ted Stevens. Among his many accomplishments, Senator Stevens was pivotal in passing legislation which dramatically increased the fines for broadcasters who violate TV decency laws.
